What the hell are these Stikfas things?

I've never heard of them, but a number of photocomics seem to use them. Is it just a strange coincidence, or are they popular toys in some circle I don't travel in?

Stikfas are 3" tall posable, interchangeable, customizable blankslate action figures. They are very cool.

Well put, Erik.

I got into them looking for good, articulate figures for stop motion animation. Of course, once I got my first one, I was hooked. Then I started customizing, and upon searching the 'net for other geeks who were customizing figures, I happened upon Erik and Lauren's comics...

The rest, as they say, is history.
